As I write this post I realize that while very little to no one will read this. Despite that, I thought I should make it clear where we stand on captive breeding of animals vs. wild caught animals. Yes we do not think the Lacey act was properly enacted, but we do feel that a to use wild caught animals as our main supply for the pet trade is a very bad idea. Not only do we try our best to purchase only captive bred and farmed animals. There are quite a few animals that are claimed to be farm raised or captive bred, but show clear signs of being caught in the wild. We not only try to purchase animals that were not removed from the wild, but we even breed our own animals! We currently breed Ball Pythons, Crested Geckos, King Snakes, Leopard Geckos, Gargoyle Geckos, Barking Geckos, Corn Snakes, and much much more!

So if you want to make sure that you are supporting the trade of wild caught animals, come down to the Painted Reptile and check out our wide variety of animals today!
