Hydroton is an expanded clay medium manufactured in Germany and is well suited for living vivariums. It holds water extremely well and offers good capillary action. It is reusable, clean, and odorless. Just add food/water bowls, some cage decor, or even floating hides, and your terrarium will be all set! If your animal needs extra heating or lighting, make sure you are using the appropriate materials.
